Introduction
OpenCognit is the desktop control center for your coding agents — several projects, several CLIs, one window.
OpenCognit brings Claude Code, Kimi, Codex, Gemini and Hermes into one desktop app. Instead of ten terminal windows you see every agent of every project in one grid, approve their actions with a click, read their changes in the built-in editor and watch live in the Cosmos who is working on what.
Getting started
Install, set up your CLIs, first project.
Workspaces & grid
Several projects and CLIs side by side.
Threads & approvals
Conversations with visible steps and approval cards.
Cosmos
See live which agent touches which file.
What OpenCognit is
- A control center for your CLIs. OpenCognit starts the official coding CLIs with your existing login. No API keys, no per-call fees.
- A replacement for editor windows. Editor, terminal, project search, Git and review are built in.
- Local. The app runs on your machine, with no account and no telemetry.
What OpenCognit is not
- Not an AI model. The intelligence comes from your CLIs and their subscriptions.
- Not a cloud service. Your code only goes to the provider of the CLI you are using — exactly as if you ran it yourself in a terminal.
- Not an autopilot. Risky actions in threads wait for your approval.
Platforms
Linux (AppImage and .deb) and Windows (installer). macOS is planned.
